just randomly came across this video... i purchased some silver metal clay over a year ago that i have yet to try out for the first time, and i guess i've been waiting because? i thought it was way more complicated and time consuming than this to heat. i was thinking it'd take like 20-30 minutes with a torch. i also wasn't sure what surface i could use... looks like a brick works just fine. thanks so much for this video! :D

I'm saying " ...
I'm saying "sintering" (not "centering"). "Sintering" means the metal particles have been heated to a temperature just below the metal's melting point, creating a solid material. If the metal clay is not fully sintered, the piece will not be strong, because the particles will remain in? a powder form.

Metal clay is a ...
Metal clay is a clay made up of tiny particles of metal (in this case, fine silver) held together with an organic binder. Once the clay is shaped, it's heated with a kiln or torch until the binder burns? off and the particles fuse together. It's a new and exciting way to work with metals!

you need to watch the video... the "peachy" colour of the silver indicates the temperature. the deeper red it gets the hotter it? is so need to keep it at the peachy colour, as she says.
